Games and stuff
What I do has not that much to do with the everyday notion of computergames.
I am working towards the creation of interactive environments based
on my art. I call them games because I want them to be fun.
'Het Periodiek Systeem',
the project I have been working on with the Dutch poet Maria
van Daalen is online here.
The presentation in 'De
Waag' at 2005- march-24 can be seen here.
I made a flashgame for Keridwen called 'The
Dance of the Hero',
and he uses it to promote his workshops.
Until
recently I was working with a game development kit but the project
is on hold now: the software company is working on resolving some serious
bugs in the sofware I use. Since I obtained a license for flash MX
2004 I am moving my ideas to that platform. Some screenshots - A
short progress report ...
Here is a piece I wrote
for Borderhack 2002. Maybe you need to read this before reading
the next the piece, maybe not. The title of the first piece
is: 'Against the wall... ' or
'How to stop worrying and start writing truly interactive
games and fiction without making things to complicated'.
This one is not ready and I suspect it never willl be. Read it and get a glimpse of my idea's about interactive structures. I have given it to a lot of people and they all thought it was inspiring. Sometimes I'm afraid it will stop to be inspiring if I finish it, but maybe that's just superstition.
